We within Group and Service Housing are looking for someone who wants to help develop our units based on a genuine user focus. You will collaborate with managers and employees in the operations where you systematically develop, plan, and evaluate the educational work.

We are now seeking two support pedagogues, one permanent position and one one-year temporary position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support pedagogue, you are responsible for planning, leading, developing, and evaluating the educational work together with employees and management. Motivating and inspiring learning and development will be an important part of your role, and you will act as a role model in the concrete environment alongside our employees. You will work on behalf of the group leader and management, distributing your time between 3-4 units, and be part of a network with other support pedagogues for support and exchange of experiences.

You will continuously work with motivation and have a conscious and pedagogical approach based on respect for the individual's self-determination and integrity. In everyday work, you will carry out assessments of the user's needs together with employees and implement and develop alternative augmentative communication. Together with contact staff, you will establish implementation plans and ensure that these are based on current decisions from caseworkers and followed up according to applicable legislation. Your assignment also includes providing support to employees in the development of social documentation and incident management.

You will mentor, educate, and support employees in interaction and methodology and may, if necessary, participate in planned interventions and activities together with the user. In mentoring, you need to provide support to strengthen colleagues' ability to reflect and analyze in connection with planning, implementation, and follow-up in the operations. This places demands on you in your role as you need to have the ability to analyze and find solutions to problems and develop the operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education as a support pedagogue or education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Knowledge of clear pedagogical methods and alternative augmentative communication (AAC).
  • Experience of structured work with pedagogical methods.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism diagnoses/intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience documenting, establishing, and following up implementation plans according to IBIC.
  • Actively works with low-arousal responses and/or has training in this, such as Studio 3.
  • Good computer skills and ability to work in various systems.
  • Proficiency in the Swedish language and good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you have knowledge/experience of MI, sign language/TAKK, psychiatry.

As a person, you have a calm and secure demeanor. You have a pedagogical approach and are attentive, respectful, curious, and methodical, as well as having a good ability to adapt to sudden changes in work. You are responsible and have good collaboration skills.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
